What should I pay attention to when cleaning the nanofiltration membrane?

Through a large number of detection and anatomical analysis of nanofiltration membranes, it is found that most of the stains in organic membranes such as energy-saving nanofiltration membranes are derived from organic matter and microorganisms and their accompanying products. Nanofiltration membrane cleaning can not only use acidic and alkaline cleaners, but a better choice is to use non-oxidizing disinfectants for disinfection. In the long run, special cleaners that use membranes can increase production efficiency and extend membrane life. So what should you pay attention to when cleaning the nanofiltration membrane? The following is elaborated from three aspects:

1. Thoroughly clean residual detergent

Care should be taken to thoroughly clean the detergent remaining in the membrane during cleaning. If the cleaning agent is not thoroughly cleaned, it is extremely easy to accumulate the stains in the membrane system, and even shorten the membrane life of the nanofiltration membrane. Alkaline cleaners have a lower cleaning power to remove stains.

2. Low metal content in detergents

The amount of metal in the cleaning agent selected during cleaning is low. A detergent with a high metal content will chemically react with proteins, colloids, phenols, and polysaccharides in the stain during the cleaning process to form new stains. Such stains will remain in the pores of the membrane in small amounts or The surface of the membrane, once produced, is difficult to hydrolyze by acid or base.

3. Cleaner should be soluble in water

The cleaning agent selected for cleaning should be easily soluble in water. A detergent which is difficult to dissolve in water may cause stains at a position where the inside of the film hole or the surface of the film is difficult to clean, and reacts in the pores of the film or the surface of the film with the original stain to form a crystal structure. In particular, the position of such crystals is generally in the micropores of the nanofiltration membrane or on the surface of the membrane, and the general acidic detergent is difficult to clean and dissolve. Once these crystal structures are formed, the crystal surface is almost inaccessible to the cleaning agent.

Pure citric acid or other common acidic products are not able to remove new stains resulting from the fusion of the original stains. In the process of membrane system production, nanofiltration membrane filter manufacturers should fill non-oxidizing disinfectant protective agent inside the nanofiltration membrane to protect the internal structure of the membrane and avoid excessive microbial bacteria in the membrane.
